1. Eligibility
For non-profit executive organization leaders with less than $50,000 in revenue.
Micro-nonprofit (staff of 0-3 and less than $50,000 in revenue) leaders often lack support and resources/opportunities for development within their organization. This incubator seeks to meet this unmet need, equipping participants with training and fund development tools.
There is an urgent need to address the unmet entrepreneur support needs in the St. Louis region through an entrepreneurship and innovation hub at Harris-Stowe State University by providing quality education, just-in-time consulting, and human-centered support activities for the startup community.
2. Application
For leaders interested in learning how to develop and grow their non-profit business
The Incubator is designed to equip micro non-profit /”solo-preneur” founders with training and funding #development tools, and access to shared resources. Interested applicants should have less than $50,000 in revenue, and there must be two participants from each organization to apply.
10 weekly training sessions include:
✅ Creating a Fundraising Plan – “Mapping A World of Funding”

✅ Grant Readiness
3. Review Process
Once applications have been submitted by the due date, applications will be reviewed and top candidates that meet all criteria will be announced
Each participant may request to be paired with a CIE for-profit partner as a peer mentor and collaborator. CIE peer mentors will be matched at the request of the NP founder and must align with the CIE for profit partner pool by industry. This pool will be created by invitation of the CIE team / program facilitator. It is mutually beneficial to have a social mission partner.
All sessions are delivered in cohorts of up to 10 organizations (up to 2 participants per organization). Also included during the 10 weeks are: 2 one-on-one sessions with KBL focusing on each organization’s specific needs and objectives; and 3 guest speakers who are subject matter experts on grants, fundraising, social media, and corporate philanthropy.
